Sunday May 6th 2012 was the Saratoga Rotary Art Show. The Rotary Art Club was very generous in letting students show their art at their event. I guess you could say this was my debut showing as an artist! It was a great experience and the response from people was overwhelming!! I brought my Seuss piece with me to show and (silly me) some homework to do during my downtime. Well, I was stunned to find myself with no downtime whatsoever as people we so interested in my piece and the process I went through to make it. I had a couple of people interested in buying Seuss, but for now he remains with me. :) The most wonderful surprises of the day were the multiple people who expressed an interest in commissioning me to make them push pin pieces from personal photographs. Needless to say, I am thrilled. Sunday was a long and exhausting day, but completely worth it! I would like to thank the organizers of the Saratoga Rotary Art Show for putting on a wonderful event and letting us students participate, as well as Ron and Jason for helping me with my first art showing.
